THE SESSIONS

Anchor 2

Womanhood Defined
Culture vs Creator

Since the beginning of man's creation, our identity has been under attack.  Beginning in the Garden of Eden when the serpent came to Eve, we have been a target for manipulation by our enemy.  In this opening session, we will go back to the moment that changed everything to unpack the root sins that separate us from God and the seeds of fear that cause us to question our identity and our position as women.

Strength is her Clothing

Growing a Spiritual Backbone

When Paul instructed the Church to take up the armor of God in Ephesians 6, he was speaking to both men and women.  A valiant woman is not one who waves the flag of feminism nor is it a woman sitting passively in silence.  How can a woman be strong in spirit and bold in truth while simultaneously having a gentle disposition?  In this session, we will study how to balance our role as helpers and nurturers with our responsibility to proclaim the truth with righteous resolve in a world gone wrong.

The Kneeling Woman
A Portrait of Persevering Prayer and Unfeigned Faithfulness

The mark of a mighty and valiant woman of God is a consistent life of devotion.  In this powerful session, we will go beyond

mealtime blessings and learn about the power of unwavering faith and fervent, intercessory prayer.  In times of need and

desperation and in times of praise and awe-inspiring worship, a woman can only be valiant when she is first on her knees.

Equipped for Battle
Suiting up with Shining Armor

Jesus made His followers very aware that trouble is inevitable while we are here on earth.  If the enemy cannot have our soul,
he will attempt to cripple us and leave us useless in the fight.  As women indwelt by the Holy Spirit, we have the ability through

Christ to overcome every strategic assault and, through the power of God's Word, we can quench every flaming arrow.

In this bold session, we will be challenged to mix grit with grace and we will study how to be gentle as doves but wise as

serpents, unafraid to challenge our Goliath.

The Delight of Deliverance
Becoming a Daughter Who Can Smile at the Future

The Bible says that we are slaves to sin apart from Jesus Christ.  In this session, we will tackle hard issues like addictions,

diseases and depression that weigh us down in the battle and then we will study the character and the nature of our God.

Although we may experience earthly affliction, we will learn why we can still smile and live a life of freedom and joy, even

when life is nothing like we had hoped.

Servant-hearted Sisters

The Beauty of Ministering to the Saints

As women, we are relational beings who enjoy fellowship and community.  However, we can also be prone to selfishness and

emotional isolation.  In this session, we will open our church history book and see how God has used ordinary women and their

unique gifts to minister to others.  Learning practical ways to serve and encourage, we will be challenged to operate as a

body and to genuinely love one another as sisters.

Wounded Warrior
Where Tears Become Triumph

Anyone who has ever been in war does not come back the same. There are casualties, there are memories and there are

battle scars.  Closing the weekend with a powerful reminder of every Christian's eternal reward, we will weigh our pain in

light of eternity.  After everything is said and done, are we still resolved to trust Him and to love Him?  In this final session,

we will be encouraged to bring our wounds to the cross and then cast our eyes to the nail scarred hands of our Savior.

TESTIMONIALS

Anchor 1

This weekend God has pointed out a lot of things in my life that I need to surrender to him. Every lesson that was given, I needed.

I have enjoyed being able to be alone with God. i have been motivated to continue to keep Christ the center of my focus, even in the literal face of trials.

When you ask for forgiveness, you no longer have to feel so ashamed. I've learned this weekend to surrender my sins and have found forgiveness and freedom.

I have learned to give God the pen so
He can write the story of my life.

i learned that I need to push out all the things that distract my heart and focus from God.

This weekend was so great and something I needed very much. God is teaching me to love him better and more fully. can't wait for next year!
